Hey gamers!
It's been wonderful to read all the reactions to my latest OneyPlays animation and I'm already thinking about what project I'll be working on next. The feedback I've gotten has given me a big boost in confidence and even motivation, which I really needed.
You see, over the years I have really struggled with procrastination, be it uni work when I was still a student or personal projects, the pandemic (even post-pandemic) didn't help much either in regards to mental health. I love being creative but it's been hard to sit down and get stuff done, so I've spent a lot of time these past few years getting my ass back in gear.
Even if my friends told me I never lost my skills (referring to my work on Smiling Friends, Cas van de Pol & Harry Partidge), it felt like I had lost my touch. This animation — even if I started it in 2023 — has shown me that I can actually push through and get stuff done, even if it seems tedious and beyond my current level of skill.
Surprisingly, I was expecting the video to do best on Newgrounds instead of YouTube and Instagram, to which I have been proven wrong by now. While I am a bit disappointed the video wasn't as popular on here, I am still glad it did as good as it did, and it has made me more active on the site and given me a bigger appreciation for the Under Judgement page which I now frequently visit to help get cool videos on the main page more quickly!
Big thank you to everyone who's watched and enjoyed the toon and an even bigger thank you to everyone who started following me on here, Youtube, Instagram or Twitter!
More to come!!
Cheers,
Stork
